Why It's Important to Have High Voltage Rubber Gloves

As obvious as it might be, we often need to be reminded that electricity is very dangerous and if we are going to be working with electricity in some way we ought to have a pair of high voltage rubber gloves. Without high voltage rubber gloves you can hurt yourself badly and so need a specialized pair of gloves to do the job.
These kinds of electrical gloves are specifically manufactured so that an electrician will not get hurt when they are working on electrically charged systems. There are many times when an electrician or even someone at home may need to work on a charged system and then these gloves will come in handy. They are lifesavers in many instances.
For this reason one should test their gloves regularly as well as examine them closely, to make sure that they haven't been compromised in some way and have a cut or snag somewhere. The slightest flaw can be a very dangerous thing.
Secondly, one should take care of their gloves to ensure they don't get damaged. Electrical gloves should be kept away from moisture which can easily damage them. They should also be kept away from light to prevent perishing. Sharp objects can easily penetrate them, so keep them away from the toolbox when you pack them and make sure they're packed somewhere safe. Also keep them away from any strange chemicals or chemicals such as animal body fat, which can affect the gloves negatively.
Generally, gloves of this type come with some sort of instructional guide and it's important that the guide is followed carefully. Professional electricians should know how to take care of their gloves, but any normal person may not know that they ought to keep these gloves very safe and how to do this.
Replace the gloves immediately if you spot a flaw.
What are electrical gloves made of? Well, generally a natural or synthetic rubber, or both put together. These aren't the best bicycle gloves you are looking for or traffic safety gloves – in other words you're not just looking for any type of gloves. These gloves must comply to standard electrical specifications which include a rating system where each set of gloves are designed to take a certain amount of electricity.
Latex gloves can also often be used but they must also match to the right specifications. The same can be said of Kevlar work gloves, although one can use these as protective gloves over the electrical gloves to keep them safe from harm. Kevlar gloves with Thinsulate are a very good combination.
Electrical gloves are graded from 00 to a grading of three, which covers different thicknesses and different amounts of electricity the glove can withstand. The highest rating, three, can withstand up to 26,500 volts and has a thickness of 2.9mm. The gloves must also fit the entire sleeve snugly.
So when working with electricity you must make sure you use specialized gloves especially made for this purpose. That's why you should get high voltage rubber gloves.
